CoAsia CM Formalizes Expansion into Robotics and Physical AI Business at Extraordinary General Meeting

Date 2026.06.30

CoAsia CM (KOSDAQ: 196450), a leading advanced optical solutions company, announced that all agenda items presented at its Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM) held on June 30 were approved as originally proposed, including the transfer of capital reserves to retained earnings and the amendment of the Articles of Incorporation to add new business purposes. The resolutions reinforce both the company's financial stability and future growth strategy.

The resolutions adopted at the EGM represent more than a simple accounting measure or a formal expansion of the company's business scope. By securing a foundation for improving its financial structure through approximately KRW 90 billion in capital reserves, while officially incorporating robotics and AI-based next-generation optical businesses into its business purposes, the company has further clarified its roadmap for capturing future market opportunities.

In particular, the amendment to the Articles of Incorporation is significant because it does not merely declare a new business that has yet to begin, but rather institutionalizes business strategies that are already being implemented.

In addition to its ToF business, the company is actively pursuing the development of Depth Cameras for Physical AI applications, accelerating the expansion of its global business portfolio targeting the robotics and AI vision markets. Leveraging its core optical technologies that serve as the "eyes" of next-generation robots, CoAsia CM aims to establish a leading position in the market.

The company previously announced that the ToF 3D sensing camera module jointly developed with Hana Optronics, a specialized ToF semiconductor company, has completed sample delivery for products to be incorporated into the supply chain of a global robotics project and is currently approaching the execution of a mass-production agreement.

Through this amendment to the Articles of Incorporation, CoAsia CM has also established an institutional foundation for its ongoing ToF and Depth Camera projects. The company plans to leverage the design and mass-production capabilities accumulated through its mobile optics business to expand into next-generation industries such as robotics and Physical AI, creating a new growth trajectory.

In addition, the approval of the transfer of approximately KRW 90 billion in capital reserves to retained earnings provides the company with a foundation to pursue a long-term dividend policy and various shareholder return initiatives.

Kim Chang-Wan, CEO of CoAsia CM, said, “This Extraordinary General Meeting marks an important milestone in simultaneously achieving financial restructuring and securing future growth engines. Building on our strengths in precision optical design and mass-production capabilities, we will establish ourselves as a key player in the Physical AI era while continuing to enhance corporate value.”
