CoAsia SEMI Joins Arm Total Design as an Official Partner

Date 2025.10.16

CoAsia SEMI, led by CEO DS Shin, is joining Arm® Total Design, an ecosystem of industry leaders collaborating to accelerate and simplify the development of custom systems based on Arm Neoverse Compute Subsystems (CSS). The announcement was introduced on Oct. 14 in San Jose, California, at the Open Compute Project (OCP) event by Arm senior vice president and general manager of the Infrastructure Business, Mohamed Awad.

Arm Total Design provides comprehensive support across the entire development process, from design to mass production, for semiconductors used in infrastructure computing. Companies participating in Arm Total Design can expect a range of strategic benefits, including early access to the latest Arm design tools and IP, strengthened competitiveness in the high-performance SoC market, opportunities to collaborate with global partners, and technical data and joint marketing support. Arm Total Design includes leading foundry companies such as Samsung, TSMC, and Intel Foundry Services, as well as major EDA companies including Cadence, Siemens, and Synopsys.

Through this agreement, CoAsia SEMI expects to play a pivotal role in the Neoverse CSS-based chiplet ecosystem, ranging from SoC design to package supply. As part of this, the company’s strategy is to maximize synergies between its accumulated product design expertise and chiplet design service capabilities, built through collaborations with Samsung Foundry, global IP and EDA vendors, and OSAT partners.

CoAsia SEMI, an Arm Approved Design Partner [CM1] with proven quality and expertise in Arm IP-based SoC design, has demonstrated its position as a strategic player in the Arm Neoverse ecosystem for data centers, AI, high-performance computing (HPC), and automotive through its participation in the Arm Total Design ecosystem.

Eddie Ramirez, vice president of go-to-market, Infrastructure Business at Arm, said, “As AI and cloud workloads scale, the industry needs purpose-built silicon solutions that can be rapidly developed and deployed. By joining Arm Total Design, CoAsia SEMI brings proven expertise in turnkey development to a broader ecosystem focused on accelerating Neoverse CSS-based solutions, helping our partners get to market faster with performance and efficiency built in.”

DS Shin, CEO of CoAsia SEMI and Head of the Semiconductor Division at CoAsia Group, said, “Through our participation in the Arm Total Design ecosystem, we plan to deliver Arm Neoverse CSS-based platforms bundled together with AI ASICs for global data center customers. This will help lower the development burden for our customers, accelerate time-to-market, and ultimately create win-win outcomes with our global partners.”

CoAsia SEMI has secured numerous data center AI ASIC customers across key regions including the United States, Korea, and Europe, and through this collaboration, the company plans to develop and supply Arm Neoverse-based CPUs not only to its existing customers but also to new customers.
