CoAsia CM Posts KRW 1.9 Billion in Operating Profit for H1 2026… “Continues Transition to Profitability-Focused Business Structure”
Date 2026.08.12
CoAsia CM (196450), a leading advanced optical solutions company, announced that it recorded consolidated cumulative revenue of KRW 133.9 billion and operating profit of KRW 1.9 billion for H1 2026. Profitability temporarily slowed in Q2 due to customer inventory adjustments amid a slowdown in downstream industries, but the company maintained its structural profitability trend by continuing to post quarterly profits.
CoAsia CM is reducing the proportion of low-margin models and advancing its product portfolio with a focus on premium products to improve the profitability of its mobile optics business. In particular, based on its supply capabilities for various camera lenses used in premium smartphones, including Tele, Wide, UW, and VT, the company is strengthening its ability to respond to high-spec products while continuing its transition to a profitability-focused business structure through production process optimization and quality stabilization.
Along with this, the company is expanding its business into Physical AI, a key future business area, based on the stable fundamentals secured through its existing mobile business. Development of Stereo Depth Camera solutions for spatial recognition and distance measurement, which serve as the “eyes” of robots, is progressing as planned, while mass production of 3D sensing camera modules linked to the global robotics supply chain is also set to begin.
A CoAsia CM official said, “We expect profitability in the mobile optics business to continue improving from H2,” adding, “We will establish Physical AI optical solutions as a next-generation growth pillar.”
The official added, “We will further strengthen the company’s future growth potential by developing new applications in the robotics and AI infrastructure sectors and expanding our global customer base.”
